In addition to supermarkets, other AAFES facilities you may find on post include hairdressers and beauticians, florists, petrol stations, laundries and dry cleaners, tailors, cinemas and fast food restaurants.
In most posts you will find clothing stores that sell official military clothing. Many exchanges also have off-site licenses or vendors who are allowed to sell their products, such as sunglasses kiosks or cell phone stores in the exchange building.

You can write a story, make a poster, teach a class, share computer skills, or collaborate on many other things that give you the opportunity to learn and contribute to your community.

Commanders are responsible for those who have the ability to change.
And the AFAP process doesn't always stop at the local Army unit. Questions with wider implications are sent to a higher level where the same process is repeated, and eventually to the Army or Ministry of Defence. Policies and even laws can change. Some examples of issues that have led to change are the creation of family readiness support groups, job assistance for spouses, educational benefits, and many improvements in child rearing. In any society, change can happen if people care and use their voices. The Army is no different.
